"The best pool service company in AZ. Big Family Pools is who we trust with our tricky pools and picky clients. They go over and above expectations. We use them at all of our homes that have pools."

The Problem

Most pool service is built for speed. That comes at a cost.

Volume-based service shortens equipment life, damages finishes, creates unstable water chemistry, and leads to expensive, avoidable repairs. A swimming pool is a six-figure asset and a mechanical system. It deserves professional oversight, not a fast stop and a casual glance.

Our Approach

Preventive maintenance, done the right way.

At BIG Family Pools, preventive maintenance is the product. Our Route Managers manage water chemistry using scientific principles, not guesswork. They inspect equipment weekly for early-stage failure, track trends before problems surface, and maintain consistency through assigned routes.

This is not splash-and-dash service. This is long-term aquatic stewardship.

What Makes Us Different

The principles that shape everything we do.

01

A Route Manager, not a pool cleaner.

One dedicated professional assigned to your pool. Long-term familiarity with your system. Accountability week after week. Clients do not get a rotating crew. They get their Route Manager.

02

Standards over speed.

High-level aquatic care takes more time, more training, and more intention. That is not a flaw in the system. That is the system. We choose standards every visit.

03

Repairs are informed, not reactive.

Because we see your pool weekly, we identify risk early and advise clearly before failures occur. When repairs are needed, they are part of informed stewardship, not isolated emergencies.

04

Limited routes by design.

We intentionally cap capacity to protect service quality and accountability. We are not trying to be the biggest. We are trying to be the best at what we do.

Who We're Built For

We are not for everyone. And that is by design.

BIG Family Pools is built for high-end homeowners, estate and property managers, and clients who value standards, longevity, and professional oversight. If you are looking for the lowest price or fastest stop, we are not the right fit. And that clarity protects our clients.

Water Is an Asset

Pool water chemistry, managed by science.

Improperly managed water destroys finishes, voids warranties, increases chemical consumption, and leads to avoidable failures. Properly managed water extends equipment lifespan, preserves plaster, tile, and stone, and reduces long-term cost.

We manage water chemistry using LSI-based balancing, documented testing, and long-term trend monitoring. Our clients use fewer chemicals as a result. Other pool companies have reviewed our chemistry logs and been genuinely surprised by what they found. That discipline is the product. Total Cost of Ownership

The cheapest monthly fee is rarely the cheapest pool.

Most pool service is sold on the monthly fee. It is the easiest number to compare, and the most misleading. Run the math forward a decade and the picture changes. Sometimes by tens of thousands of dollars.

Year 1

We cost more.

A premium monthly investment buys a different standard of service. The difference shows up on the bill before it shows up in the pool. We will not pretend otherwise.

Year 3

We are even.

Repair calls, algae events, and small failures have started piling up under commodity service. The premium you paid for professional oversight is even with what your neighbor paid in surprise invoices.

Year 5

We are ahead.

A pump or heater failure has hit under commodity care. Yours has not. Properly balanced water is quietly extending plaster life. The math has flipped, and it keeps flipping every year that follows.

Year 10

The math is in writing.

By year ten the typical homeowner is roughly $23,700 ahead with BIG Family Pools, and the pool shows like new at sale instead of becoming a disclosure item. See the 10-year breakdown →

Meet the Owner

Built by an owner, not a sales team.

Dean isn't a pool company owner who hired a sales team. He's a military veteran and former real estate broker with eight kids who live in the family pool half the year. He built BIG Family Pools because nobody operated the way he expected, with modern chemistry, real documentation, and the standards he carried out of uniform.
