About

A small family business with an uncommon standard.

BIG Family Pools is a veteran-owned, locally operated aquatic asset management firm serving the East Valley. We manage a limited number of pools for homeowners, estate managers, and commercial properties who value standards, consistency, and professional oversight.

Meet Dean

I serviced my first pool in 2011. I had no idea what this company would become.

My name is Dean Ouellette, and I started BIG Family Pools from scratch nearly a decade ago. I'm a former United States Coast Guard veteran, a small business owner, and most importantly, a husband and father to eight kids. Some of our best memories as a family have been in our own backyard pool. I wanted to give other families that same opportunity, maintained to a standard that most pool companies don't even attempt.

Over the past decade, BIG Family Pools has been nominated and named a national finalist three times for Pool Company of the Year by Pool Nation, recognized specifically for the quality of our water chemistry. Other pool companies have looked at our chemistry logs and been genuinely surprised. We manage water using scientific principles, not guesswork, and our clients use fewer chemicals as a result. That's not an accident. It's how we do the work.

I run this company the way I believe Jesus would want me to run it, with integrity, honesty, and care for the people we serve and the people we employ. We don't sell anything a client doesn't need. We treat every employee and every client the way we would want our own family treated. That belief is the foundation of everything we do.

We call it the BIG Family Way, because the name isn't just marketing. It's how we operate.

2011

First pool serviced. The standard was set from day one.

USCG

Veteran-owned. Founded by a former United States Coast Guard member.

"Dean with BFP came in CLUTCH. We inherited a green swamp and had far too many unreliable pool guys. Big Family Pools came in and brought our pool up to modern times with a smile and a long day. A breath of fresh air, and crystal clear water to boot."

Who Shows Up

Real trucks. Real routes. Real people.

When you book an evaluation with BIG Family Pools, a professional in uniform shows up in a branded vehicle at a scheduled time. Our Route Managers are not contractors and not day labor. They are employees, trained to our standards, and accountable for the pools on their route.

This may sound basic. In the pool service industry, it is not. One of the reasons clients leave other providers and find us is that they never knew who was coming, when, or whether the same person would be back next week. That inconsistency is the industry norm. It is not how we operate.

The Team

A team built the BIG Family way.

BIG Family Pools is led by a small, experienced team that reflects the standard we hold to every client relationship. Every person on this team has been hired because they share the same principles: do the right thing, never sell anything that isn't needed, and treat the client's pool the way you would treat your own.

Let's Talk

If you're looking for a professional partner, we should talk.

We operate with limited capacity to protect service quality. Requests for new clients go through an evaluation process so we can understand the property, the system, and whether we are the right fit.
